Ingredients

  • 5 – 6 Chicken Drumsticks Bone-in, skin-on for crispiness
  • 1.5 tablespoon Hungarian Sweet Paprika Adds smoky flavor
  • 1.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder For a savory kick
  • 1.5 teaspoon Kosher Salt To season the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper For a mild heat
  • 2 tablespoon Butter For richness and juiciness

Method

  1. Take the drumsticks out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Salt both sides and under the skin, then let them rest uncovered on the counter or in the fridge.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Mix together the sweet paprika, garlic powder, ground pepper, and kosher salt.
  3. Rub a small amount of butter under the skin of each drumstick, then season the chicken with the paprika mixture on both sides.
  4. Place the drumsticks on a wire rack placed over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Ensure there’s at least 1 inch of space between them.
  5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 40 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
  6. Let the drumsticks rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the juices to settle.
